Who we are
Paquines is a nonprofit organization founded to gather fans of comics, anime, science fiction and other hobbies in Puerto Rico. As part of our mission we create and participate in events related to the interests of our members.
Kaisen Festival
Is our main event, celebrated twice a year. Among the activities at Kaisen are the cosplay contests, skits, workshops, videogame and cards tournaments, live music and more. It also includes a dealer’s room. Our next event is Kaisen 11, July 6-7 at the Cosme Beitia Coliseum at Cataño, minutes away from San Juan, Puerto Rico’s capital. Other events
We also organize cosplay photoshoots and participate in other anime and comic book events in Puerto Rico, such as the Assemble Comix Convention and the Caribbean Entertainment Expo.

Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico is of the Greater Antilles located in the Caribbean Sea near the Dominican Republic. As part of the United States Puerto Rico uses the US dollar as currency, all its citizens are USA citizens and passports are not necessary to travel to the island. Its capital is San Juan. Both English and Spanish are official languages, but Spanish is the primary language used by the population. That’s why most of the website is written in Spanish.
